Broadway and Gilsey House, New York City

Broadway looking north from 28th Street in 1896. The Gilsey House is on the east side, on the corner of 29th St. The old Sturtevant House, completed in 1871, is the building on the right. In 1904, Hotel Breslin was constructed on the site. Other hotels can be seen in the distance, like Grand Hotel and Hotel Imperial, both on the east side. On the left is the Gaiety Theatre, later Sam T. Jack Theatre.
