Tammany Hall, Nassau Street - circa 1830s, before Printing House Square

That was the end of Nassau Street, in the 1830s, before the area was known as Printing House Square. The Tammany Hall was built in 1812 and the building housed The Sun in 1867. The area became a lot different in the late 19th century, with the biggest skyscrapers of New York. Source: Library of Congress.
