Map of the State of Rio Grande do Sul
Rio Grande do Sul is a state in the southern region of Brazil. The capital is Porto Alegre. The northern part of the state has an elevated plateau and the southern part has lowlands. The state has borders with Uruguay, Argentina and with the state of Santa Catarina.
