The Balkan Peninsula is located in the Southeast region of Europe. It is bordered by the Adriatic Sea (northwest), the Ionian Sea (southwest), the Aegean Sea (south and southeast), and the Black Sea (east and northeast).
A landscape in Albania. Seventy percent of the country is covered by the mountains of the Dinaric and Pindus Alps. The 1,230-meter tall Mount Dajti of the Dinaric range overlooks Tirana.
