St. Nicholas Hotel - between 1854 and the 1860s

The St. Nicholas Hotel consisted of two structures facing Broadway: one with a white marble façade and the northern wing with a dark façade in the foreground. The Broadway front was 275 feet in length and the Spring Street front was 200 feet. The rear, on Mercer Street, was 275 feet. The hotel closed in 1884.

The old Prescott House is to the right, on the northwest corner of Spring Street.
