U.S. Veterans Hospital, Bronx - about 1940s

The hospital opened as United States Veterans Hospital no. 81 on April 15, 1922. Today it is the James J. Peters VA Medical Center, renamed in 2005 after James J. Peters, director of the Eastern Paralyzed Veterans Association (now United Spinal Association). It is located at 130 West Kingsbridge Road in West Fordham.
