Park Row and Park Theatre - 1840
The historic Park Theatre was located at 21–25 Park Row, New York City. The original New-York Theatre opened in 1798 and was destroyed by fire in 1820. The second Park Theatre, shown above, opened in 1821, was renovated by 1830 and was destroyed by fire in 1848.
In the following years, these buildings on Park Row were replaced by taller ones, five-stories high. City Hall Park is to the right.
