The Old World Building - 37 Park Row
Above, the old World Building, originally Park Building (erected in 1857 on the site of the Old Brick Church) in a photograph taken in 1870 (or later) from the Post Office under construction. The old World Building was burned down in 1882 (photograph published by E. & H.T. Anthony, originally in stereographic form. Source: New York Public Library). The building was home of some headquarters of the publishing industry in New York, such as The World, Scientific American and the New York Observer.
Below, a photo taken about the same time, from the same place, showing Beekman Street. The old World Building is on he left and the New York Evening Mail, on the right, replaced the old Lovejoy's Hotel in 1870.
The Park Hotel on the corner of Nassau St. is partially seen. The building was the headquarters of the New-York Daily Times (later the New York Times), from 1854 to 1858.
