The Republic of Chile is divided into 15 regions: Aysen, Antofagasta, Araucania, Arica y Parinacota, Atacama, Biobio, Coquimbo, Libertador General Bernardo O'Higgins, Los Lagos, Los Rios, Magallanes y de la Antartica Chilena, Maule, Region Metropolitana (Santiago), Tarapaca and Valparaiso. The major seaports are Coronel, Huasco, Lirquen, Puerto Ventanas, San Antonio, San Vicente and Valparaiso. The capital is Santiago. The country is located in Southern South America, bordering the South Pacific Ocean, between Argentina and Peru.
