The Eiffel Tower was constructed by Gustave Eiffel for the International Exhibition of Paris of 1889, commemorating the centenary of the French Revolution. Its design is attributed to engineers Maurice Koechlin and Émile Nouguier. At 300 meters, it was the world's tallest structure until 1930 when it was surpassed by the Chrysler Building in New York.

Eiffel Tower is still one of the main tourist attractions in the Planet. The tower has three levels for visitors, with restaurants on the first and second levels. The top level's is 276 m above the ground. More: Pictures of France
