Bowling Green about 1891
Photograph taken about 1891, showing snow on Bowling Green Park with snow. On the right, at the northwest corner of Broadway and Morris Street, stands the Columbia Building (29 Broadway), completed in 1891. It was one of New York's early skeleton-framed office buildings (demolished around 1930). On the southwest corner is the Stevens House, former Delmonico's Hotel erected in 1845-1846, and demolished in 1919. More: Bowling Green in the 19th century ►
