Custom House at Bowling Green - 1910
The United States Custom House at Bowling Green. The cornerstone of the building was laid on October 7, 1902 and it was completed in 1907. Various sculptures and paintings by great artists of the time embellish several portions of the interior and exterior of this edifice.
Photograph published in 1910 (possibly taken before) in the book Both Sides of Broadway from Bowling Green to Central Park. This work is an important document of a city in great change during the early days of the 20th century.
