The Bank of Sicily Trust Company near center of image, is on the southwest corner at 487 Broadway, also known as Silk Exchange Building, completed in 1896, built by real estate developer, architect, and contractor John Townsend Williams. The 12-story stone mercantile building, fronting 28 feet on Broadway, 200 feet on Broome St. and 27 feet on Mercer St, was sold on July 5, 1899 to J.B. Haggin.
