Broadway, East Side. Wall Street to Liberty Street - 1899
Illustration shows buildings on the east side of Broadway, from Wall Street to Liberty Street. It depicts three of New York's early skyscrapers: the Old Equitable Building, completed in 1870, the Old Mutual Life Building (Title Guarantee & Trust Co.), on the left, completed about 1873, and the American Surety Building, on the corner of Pine Street.
The United Bank Building (National Bank of the Republic, on the right), corner of Wall Street was erected in 1880 and demolished in 1931.
