City Hall Park in 19th Century

 

The Park was enclosed by a iron railing, built in 1818 and 1821, replacing the old fence built in 1785.

Behind the American Museum is the Rotunda, built in 1818, inspired by the Pantheon in Rome and designed to display Vanderlyn's panorama The Palace and Gardens of Versailles.
