Streetcars dominated the traffic on Broadway. Automobiles were still fewer than horse-drawn carriages. This changed ten years later.
Saks Department Store, is on the left between 33rd and 34th Street (1311 Broadway). The seven-story building designed by Buchman & Fox, opened in 1902 and closed in 1965. Macy's is behind it.
