Hotel NH Collection New York Madison Avenue
The Hotel NH Collection New York Madison Avenue, formerly Jolly Madison Towers Hotel, is housed in the old 16-story Fraternity Clubs Building, located at 22 East 38th Street, on the southeast corner of Madison Avenue, in the Murray Hill.
The Fraternity Clubs Building was designed by Murgatroyd & Ogden (the same firm designed the Barbizon Hotel for Women), in a Renaissance Revival style, with 600 rooms and 16 stories in height. The building was constructed by the Allerton Group as a club residence for college fraternity men, later also for women and for permanent or transient guests. The building was finished in tapestry brick with stone trimmings. It was completed in 1924. The hotel changed hands several times. In 1983, after another renovation, it became Madison Towers with 300 rooms. About 2002 it became the Jolly Madison Towers Hotel.
After a full renovation, it reopened in May 2021 as the Hotel NH Collection New York Madison Avenue, with 288 rooms. It is near to some of the NYC big attractions, like the Empire State Building, Times Square, Broadway theaters and 5-minute walk from Grand Central Station. Amenities include gym, MAD Bar & Lounge, Italian cuisine at the Serafina Restaurant, meeting room and more.
