Belmont Hotel, New York - About 1910
The Belmont Hotel at 118-132 Park Avenue, NW corner to East 42nd Street, Murray Hill. Construction began in 1904 and was completed in 1906, with 22 floors above ground (height 93.88 m), considered to be the tallest hotel in the world upon completion. It was and demolished about 1934. Note: an early Hotel Belmont existed at 137 Fulton Street, next door to the New York Herald from 1864 (or before) to 1885. It could accommodate nearly 200 guests.
