The Old Plaza Hotel

 

The old Plaza Hotel and horse-drawn and electric street cars in foreground in a photo copyrighted, in 1901, by Underhill. The Central Park and West 59th Street are on the right. It opened its doors in 1890 and was demolished in 1905 for the construction of the current Plaza Hotel.
