Street scene with traffic, streetcars and a lot of billboards. The Loew's State Theatre is showing "Sinners in Silk", a 1924 silent romantic drama with Eleanor Boardman, Adolphe Menjou and Conrad Nagel. This movie theater, at 1540 Broadway, opened in1921, as part of a 16-story office building for the Loew's Theatres company. Astor Theatre, on the left, opened in 1906.
