The centennial celebration of the inauguration of George Washington, next day on April 30, 1889 at the Sub-Treasury Building, on Wall Street, corner of Nassau Street. Photograph by the Brooklyn Academy of Photography, published in the History of the Centennial Celebration of the Inauguration of George Washington as First President of the United States by Clarence Winthrop Bowen (1852-1935), published in 1892 by a committee of citizens of the City of New York, whose active work began on November 10, 1887.

Photo above shows a crowd of people in front of the Sub-Treasury Building (now Federal Hall Memorial National Historic Site), where Benjamin Harrison, President of the United States of America made his speech on April 30, 1889 (photo on the right). Below, the crowd on Broad Street.
