New York Harbor - about 1793

According to an article by the Society about this painting, the artist coud be Archibald Robertson (1765-1835) or his brother Alexander Robertson (1772 – 1841) and it could be be dated 1793 or 1794.

The second temple of Trinity Church, built 1790, is represented on the left and the Government House, whose front façade faced Bowling Green, is in the center. It was also built in 1790. The Battery is on the right. Enlargements of the buildings are shown below.
