Additional text on print: J.U. Locher St. Gall Switzerland / Com. by Meysel Herisau / J.H. Locher 117 Fulton Street New-York. Source: Barry Lawrence Ruderman, Antique Maps Inc. Published in 1852, according to the source. This is very similar to the view drawn by John Bachmann, copyright 1850. It is also similar to the view drawn by the Scottish artist William Simpson (both on the right).

Several notable buildings are depicted in this view, including the City Hall and the Rotunda, Trinity Church and St. Paul Chapel, the Brick Church and the old Post Office in the premises of the old Middle Dutch Church at Nassau Street. and many others.
