The One Broadway (Washington Building), originally erected in the 19th century is on the extreme left, corner of Battery Place. The Standard Oil building at 26 Broadway is on the right. Bowling Green Offices, completed in 1898 at 11 Broadway, is on the left. It adjoins Cunard Building at 25 Broadway. The Adams Express Building, completed in 1914, is at 61 Broadway is in the center. The Woolworth Building, completed in 1913, is seen in the distance.
The Canyon of Heroes is the section of Lower Broadway used for City's ticker-tape parades. The traditional route of the parade is northward from Bowling Green to City Hall Park.
