Broadway from City Hall Park with American Museum, on the left, St. Paul's Chapel, on the center, and the Astor House, on the right (opened in 1836). The old Grace Church and Trinity Church are represented in the distance on Broadway. The Scudder's American Museum, founded in 1810, moved to the 5-story building, on the corner of Broadway and Ann Street, on the left, in December 1830. This illustration is an inset from the topographical map of the city and county of New-York, copyright 1836 by J.H. Colton & Co. Source: Library of Congress.
