The building with a clock tower is the old Mutual Life Building completed about 1873 and demolished before 1968. The United Bank Building (2 Wall Street), built in 1880, is in front of Trinity Church. Broadway is cluttered with utility poles and overhead wires, which were buried in the 1890s.
