View of buildings on the south side of Twenty-third Street, from 6 East to 26 West. At the extreme right, the Fifth Avenue Hotel is seen just before its demolition. The skyscraper in the center is the iconic Flatiron Building, completed in 1902. In the foreground is the Hotel Bartholdi, opened in 1885, on the southeast corner of Broadway and 23rd Street. Adjoining Hotel Bartholdi is the old building of the art gallery of William Kurtz, at 6 East Twenty-third Street, erected in 1873.
