Washington Street and Manhattan Bridge - 2020s

Manhattan Bridge, connecting southeastern Manhattan with western Brooklyn, was designed by Leon Moisseiff (1872-1943), a leading suspension bridge engineer in the United States. It was the last of the three suspension spans built across the lower East River, following the Brooklyn and Williamsburg bridges. The Manhattan Bridge's suspension towers measure 330 feet from the mean high water mark to the tops of the cables. The ornamental finials atop each tower are 350 feet above high water.

In 2009, the bridge's centennial year, the American Society of Civil Engineers named it a National Historic Civil Engineering Landmark.
