The Times Building (center), erected in 1904, dominates the image. Hotel Astor, on the right, was completed in 1904 and demolished in 1967. Astor Theatre, on the right, at located at 1537 Broadway, corner of West 45th Street, opened in 1906, and continued to operate as a theatre until 1925. The building was demolished in 1982 to make way for the Marriott Marquis Hotel. The New York Theatre, on the left, opened in 1895 and the building was demolished in 1935. The Hotel Rector, on the left, is under construction at the southeast corner of Broadway and 44th Street. It opened in December 27, 1910, later renamed Hotel Claridge and demolished in 1972.

The Hotel Astor, on the right, between West 44th Street and W 45th Street, was built in 1904 and demolished in 1967 to make way for the Minskoff Building.
