Photo shows government buildings around the New York City Civic Center and some of the early skyscrapers on Park Row, including the Tribune Building and World Building. Hudson River is in the top left corner of the photo. The City Hall Park is on the left. The Federal Courthouse building (now Thurgood Marshall United States Courthouse) is facing Foley Square, was completed in 1936. The New York County Courthouse (now New York State Supreme Court Building), hexagonal building at 60 Centre Street, was completed in 1927. The Municipal Building, facing City Hall Park, opened in 1913 and was completed in 1917.
The N.Y State Office Building was erected from 1928 to 1930 and the Criminal Courts Building, under construction, was completed in 1941.
