Ceará
Ceará is a state (estado) of northeastern Brazil, known for the beautiful beaches of its coastline.
The capital is Fortaleza, the main commercial and seaboard shipping centre. Along Beira-Mar Avenue, kiosks offer options for those who want to have some coconut water or taste the seafood of the region. The popular Futuro beach has food stalls along the seaside.
On the west coast of the state visitors are stunned by the beauty of beaches like Cumbuco and Jericoacoara, surrounded by dunes, lagoons and salt marshes. On the east coast, the most famous beaches are the rustic Canoa Quebrada, amazing for its huge cliffs, and Morro Branco, with its colored sands that are used as raw materials for local crafts.
