Buildings on East Side of Broadway

Between 1899 and 1900

View looking north along Broadway from below Cedar Street. The building with a clock tower on the right is the Old Mutual Life Building, completed about 1873 and demolished before 1968. The American Exchange National Bank Building was under construction in May 1900, on the northeast corner of Cedar Street. The block between Liberty and Cedar streets is now occupied by the skyscraper 140 Broadway. Photograph by Robert L. Bracklow from the New-York Historical Society.
