Skyscrapers shown were built from the late 19th century to the 1930s. The World Building was the tallest structure in New York City when it was completed in 1890. The Woolworth Building was completed in 1913 with 57 stories above City Hall Park. It was tallest skyscraper in the world for about 17 years.
