The Borough Hall, originally built as Brooklyn's City Hall, was completed in 1848. It is located on the north side of Joralemon Street, between Court Street and Adams Street. It houses the Brooklyn Borough President and is Brooklyn's oldest public building. The City of Brooklyn merged in 1898 with New York, Bronx, Queens and Staten Island.
