Three building on west side of Broadway, facing City Hall Park, from Murray Street (left) to Warren Street (right). The 256 Broadway was erected for the Home Life Insurance Company and the 253 Broadway was erected for the Postal Telegraph Company (left), both constructed between 1892 and 1894. The Roger Peet building (258 Broadway), a New York City landmark, was erected in 1899 on the corner of Warren Street, site of the old Mason's Arms Tavern of Samuel Fraunces in the 18th century.
