The construction of the famous Flatiron building started the following year, in 1901. The Sohmer Piano Building at 170 5th Avenue, corner of Wes 22nd Street, with a two-story octagonal cupola, was completed about 1898. The Cumberland House, old St. Germain Hotel, is on the left, at 22nd Street.

Yale Signs, School of Science, Astrology, Palmistry and Hypnotism. Isham's Manicuring, Chiropodist. Shirt Maker. The Mohawk Building was completed in 1892 on Fifth Avenue, corner of 21st Street.
