The old Hotel Netherland, on 5th Avenue, corner of 59th Street, was opened in 1893 with 17 stories and featured Romanesque arches, and razed in 1926 to be replaced by the Sherry-Netherland Hotel. It allowed a full view of Central Park. The old Hotel Savoy is to the right. This photograph is a fragment of a panoramic view of the old Plaza, 1905. More: Hotels in New York City ►
