Hotel Albany - between 1906 and 1913
Photo published in a vintage postcard in the early 20th century. Original title: Hotel Albany. Situation, appointment and service unsurpassed. Broadway and 41 Street, New York. This was the former Hotel Vendome, which was renamed later Hotel Continental. It became Hotel Albany between about 1906 and about 1913.
The 9-story Hotel Vendome opened in 1882. The hotel and the three-story building adjoining it on the right were demolished in 1930 to make way for the 42-story Continental Building.
