Fifth Avenue and Broadway, Old Madison Square - 1904
The old Fifth Avenue Hotel is on the left and Worth Monument is in the center. The Albemarle is on the corner of West 24th Street, adjoining Hoffman House. On the northwest corner of 25th Street stands the 12-story Townsend Building at 1123 Broadway, completed in 1897. The St. James Building, on the southwest corner of 26th Street, completed in 1898, is on the site of the old St James Hotel, built in 1857.
