Worth Monument is on the left. Engraving published in a telegraphic card of the hotel, dated January 22, 1894. At this time Edward S. Stokes was the hotel manager.
The Hoffman House comprised three buildings in this view. The original Hoffman House on Broadway, on the left, opened in 1864. The annex, on the corner of 25th Street, was an old mansion which joined the hotel in 1870. The second annex on 25th Street, on the right was completed in 1885. Hoffman House also included two houses on West 24th Street, added in 1869.
