Manhattan Life Building - 1896
The Manhattan Life Insurance Building, on the right, and the Trinity Church on Lower Broadway, New York City. The Manhattan Life Building was a 106 m tower in the Financial District of Manhattan and was completed in 1894. It was the tallest building in New York City until 1899. In 1901, the Century Building was erected next to it. The American Surety Building, is in the distance (finishing construction). Photograph published in 1896 by A.S. Campbell. Elizabeth, N.J.
