Forty Second Street, New York City - 1905
Print shows people walking on sidewalks, a trolley on the street with buildings on the north side of West 42nd Street. Bryant Park, created in 1847, is on the left and the Times Building, completed in 1904, is the skyscraper in the distance. The elevated railway is on Sixth Avenue (Avenue of the Americas). The first line of the Subway opened in 1904, passing under this part of the street.
