Bay and Harbour of New York from Staten Island

The artist Edward Williams Clay (1799–1857) moved to New York in 1837, so this illustration was probably drawn between 1837 and 1842, the last year the New-York Mirror was published.

The structure in the center right is probably part of the telegraph station.
