The centennial celebration of the inauguration of George Washington on April 29, 1889. Photo shows the crowd in Wall Street in the rear of the procession, the structure erected for the event and buildings on the south side of Wall Street. Photograph by the Brooklyn Academy of Photography, published in the History of the Centennial Celebration of the Inauguration of George Washington as First President of the United States by Clarence Winthrop Bowen (1852-1935), published in 1892 by a committee of citizens of the City of New York.
