RCA Building, Rockefeller Center - 1939

The RCA Building (later GE Building, today 30 Rockefeller Plaza) is located between West 49th and W50th streets. It was constructed between 1931 and 1933. It was designed by Reinhard & Hofmeister, Corbett Harrison & MacMurray and Hood & Fouilhou. In 1986, General Electric incorporated RCA. The lobby was designated a landmark by the City of New York and the Federal Government. The lobby walls are champlain gray marble with bronze moldings & trim and plaster. The floors consist of black terrazzo in rectangular patterns outlined with bronze strips.
