Southern part of Central Park is seen on the top part of the photo. The Grand Central Terminal, at East 42nd Street, is about the center. Hotel Commodore is on its right. The old Murray Hill Hotel at 112 Park Avenue, is between East 40th Street and E 41st St. and Hotel Belmont is next to it. The Allerton House (now Pod 39 Hotel), at 143 East 39th Street, in Murray Hill, is between 3rd Ave and Lexington Avenue (bottom of the photo). Other hotels are seen in the area.
The Rockefeller Center was constructed from 1931 to 1939, between Fifth Avenue and Sixth Avenue, 48th and 51st streets (area on the top).
