Buildings on West Side of Bowling Green - 1909

Original title: Broadway, 13 to 27, inclusive. Raimondo Bragulia, Restaurant - I. Assenheim & Son, Art Publishers - Anchor Line S.S. Co. - Kaufman, Hats - Stevens House.

Buildings on west side of Broadway, facing Bowling Green Park, with Morris Street to the right. The old Stevens House, on the right, was constructed in 1845-1846, as Delmonico's Hotel, and demolished in 1919 to make way for the Cunard Building, completed on the site in 1920. On the northwest corner we can see part of the old Columbia Building (29 Broadway) under renovation with more floors being added in 1909.

Photograph published in 1910 (probably taken in 1909) in the book Both Sides of Broadway from Bowling Green to Central Park.
