New York Athletic Club - Designed Building, 1895
Building designed for the New York Athletic Club. Illustration published in the Harper's Weekly July 27, 1885. Original title: The new club-house of the New York Athletic Club, to be erected at Fifth-Ninth Street and Sixth Avenue. The nine stories high designed building was about to be constructed at the eastern corner of Sixth Avenue and 59th Street, according to the magazine. This club house opened in 1898. The old Club House of New York Athletic Club was located on the corner of Sixth Avenue and West 55th Street.
