The City Hall, opened 1812, is to the left and the Municipal Building is behind it. Brooklyn Bridge terminal is in the center (demolished in 1935.). The World Building, once the tallest building in the world, was demolished in 1955. The Tribune Building (demolished in 1966) is on the right, facing Printing House Square with the Benjamin Franklin statue, at the junction of Nassau and Spruce streets. The former New York Times Building, at 41 Park Row, is on the right. The newspaper moved to Times Square in 1904.
