The Mechanics' Bank and the Leather Manufacturers' Bank can be partially seen near on the left, near the corner of Broad Street on Wall Street. The buildings on the southeast corner were demolished in 1872 to make way for the Drexel Building.
On the northeast corner of William Street stands the Bank of New York building, completed in 1858. The neoclassical Bank of America Building, on the northwest corner of William Street, is on the extreme right, demolished in 1888 to make way for a new Bank of America Building.
